Lolipot Shabu Shabu : What A "GREAT" Service & Experience!

Hi guys, it's been a while since I last blog.I wouldn't want to make complain if I could, but I couldn't take it for this restaurant seriously!Me and my group of friends were so pissed with the services and the system!

2days ago, we made the reservation with Lolipot for around 8person, we have PARTICULARLY MENTIONED that we want a ROUND TABLE because this is a birthday dinner. Great thing is that, they have confirmed with our reservation.All of us were so excited and looking forward for this dinner but till then, things happened.

Yesterday, which is 29/12/2011. We reach the restaurant and expecting a ROUND TABLE for the dinner as per requested.
Surprisingly, the staffs told us that there's no more ROUND TABLE for us due to another reservation of 20++ people and your internal staffs mixed up with all the reservation.
This is your internal problem, not my problem! not our problem!

What do you expect? All 8 of us sitting separately to celebrate birthday?
How is it gonna be? Or how would you think if you face this kind of situation?
YOUR STAFFS have already CONFIRMED with our reservation earlier! and now you tell us that ur table have booked for another group and we have to sit separately?!

This is the main reason that we are PISSED! You guys expect us to celebrate a birthday dinner in separated table! Aren't you suppose to inform us earlier that there's no table for us so that we can change venue? Or this is your marketing strategy just to earn profit?!
Few of my friends were actually came all the way from BM and Butterworth just to attend this dinner and we are quite some regular customers here! But this is what we got from you!

Fine, not to talk about the reservation issue. Your staffs should be trained properly with manner and attitude, SERIOUSLY!
Here are the 2 issues that we had:
1st, I asked for soup refill, and the staff raised her voice and asked WHICH SOUP IS IT?! If you're not happy or not satisfy with the job, GO HOME AND DON'T WORK HERE!
2nd, my friend asked for a ice cream spoon because there's no more left in the box, and guess what? the staffs heard her, saw her in the eyes, BUT JUST WALKED TO THE KITCHEN while my friend expecting her to come back with ice cream spoon.
10minutes have passed and the ice cream is already melting but THAT STAFF IS NOT BACK YET! Then my friend asked another staff to get the spoon for her, and the spoon is actually placed NEAR OUR TABLE! NOT INSIDE THE KITCHEN! So your staffs were trained to ignore customers?

This is the restaurant that I'm talking about: Lolipot Shabu Shabu

It is located at Bay Avenue, somewhere near Queensbay Mall.
And this is the address:

This restaurant has already increased the price since November 2011, and stated that there's extra stuffs in your menu.

The previous price was RM30++ per person, but now the price is RM36++ per person!As you stated, now u have flower crab, mantis prawn, bamboo clam, fresh scallop, and etc.We were expecting something different and something better while paying more, but hell no!What I want to tell here is that, ALL THOSE FOOD ARE NOT FRESH! Imagine that the bamboo clam and squid is salty and a bit smelly, while the mantis prawn just melted in the soup while we were trying to cook it. This is what you called "FRESH" ?All of those were FROZEN FOOD, NOT FRESH AT ALL! WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!

The food is not worth the price we pay for now and together with the bad service!
Me and my friend will not go back anymore after this bad experience!

To Lolipot Shabu Shabu: U just lost a group of your loyal customers and in the future, u lose more businesses when we spread the news.Good luck to your staffs and your restaurant!

Some people might just spend a lot and go to those skin care center.

Some of they are willing to spend on those expensive products.

Some of them rather go to plastic surgery.

Come to think of it, is that even necessary?

Chilled Oreo Cheesecake Recipe

After the Mix Nuts Chocolate Brownies, I am doing this Chilled Oreo Cheesecake

Got this recipe from Terence Lee, and I modify a bit on the recipe.

Ingredients:

Biscuit (Base)

140g Oreo Cookies (without cream, but keep the cream for cheese layer, finely crust)
70g melted butter

Cheese Layer

250g Cream Cheese (I am using the Philadelphia brand, which I use all these while)
60g Granulated Sugar
180g - 200g Oreo cookies (crust)
200g Whipped Cream
4 egg yolks
25g Gelatin
3 drops Vanilla Essence
100ml Full Cream Milk

Preparation:

Apply some butter on the baking tin and put in the freezer.
Heat up the mixture of Full Cream Milk, Vanilla Essence and Gelatin, and make sure the Gelatin is fully dissolved.
Take out all the cream of Oreo Cookies
Leave some Oreo cookies for decoration.

Steps:

Biscuit(Base)

For the base layer. Mix the finely crust Oreo Cookies and melted butter.
Apply the mixture of Oreo Cookies and Melted Butter in the baking pan evenly.
Put into the freezer.

Cheese Layer

Beat cream cheese and sranulated sugar together until it is smooth.
Add whipped cream, Oreo cream, 4 egg yolks, and Oreo cookies(crusted), mix well.
Pour the mixture of milk, gelatin and Vanilla essence into the cream mixture and mix well.
Take out the baking pan which contain the cookies layer and pour the cream mixture onto the cookies layer.
Spread the leftover crusted Oreo cookies on top of the cake as decoration.
Chill the cake in freezer for 30minutes and change to fridge for 3 hours.

Mix Nuts Chocolate Brownies

As for this year Chinese New Year, I've decided to bake this Mix Nuts Chocolate Brownies.

I've got this recipe from this Chocolate Lover.

Let's me share the recipe here.

Ingredients:

230g Butter (in cube)
220g Sugar (Castor/ Granulated)
4-5 Eggs (whisked up)
250g Dark Chocolate / Chocolate ( in small pellet or chopped finely, to make sure it melts quick)
140g Flour
50g Cocoa powder
150g Nuts (Up to your choice) [I've used Almond nuts, Peanuts, and Hazelnuts)

Preparation:

Butter the baking tin
Mix up the flour and cocoa powder
Prepare the chocolate in a mixing bowl
Leave aside some nuts for decoration on top
Preheat the Micro Oven with 180'c

Steps:

Melt the butter completely
Dissolve the sugar and add into the melted butter.
Add in the eggs, make sure the butter is not hot, so the eggs wont turn into omelette
Pour the hot mixture into the mixing bowl which contain the chocolates. Make sure the chocolates are melt roughly. If it doesn't, then zap it in microwave for 10seconds
Spatula in the mixture of flour and cocoa powder. Make sure there's no trace of flour can be found.
Mix in the nuts.
Pour the mixture into the baking tin.
Bake in the Oven, which has preheated at 180'C. Bake for 25-30minutes.
The top of brownies will be shiny, and it has a little bit crack.
Take out the brownies and leave aside to cool. Don't cut it until it reach room temperature, the brownies will be soft when it is hot.
If you are not sure whether the brownies is cooked or not, follow your feeling, this is what I did most of the time.

Pour in baking tin, decorate with some left nuts

Extra charges without informing us and without any black & white is not applicable.

Bad driver alert here.

The owner of car plate number PGJ 8021.

An old man which is bald and toothless, blocking the traffic.

As most of the Penang people know, there is this Beach Street, where most of the banks are here, busy traffic all the times and hardly can find a parking lot.

So there's this old bastard who is inconsiderate, stubborn, and selfish idiot.

He parked his car for quite some while in a parking lot. Those meter parking lot.

After that, when he came back, and the meter expired.

I parked at a lot which the meter is spoilt.

Then he saw me went into the car and waited for him to swift his car.

He went into his car, sat there, open up his newspaper.

Normally, I don't even care if you are reading you newspaper, fucking with your newspaper, sucking your newspaper or whatsoever, but please do it at home.

You're fucking wasting other people's time cause it is very difficult to find parking lot in this area. So many people go rounds and rounds looking for a parking lot, and yet you just sat in your car and fucking with your newspaper while the meter expired.

People, please be considerate, there's no point blocking the traffic, it shows that you are uneducated and immature.

If you were to say that I am using vulgarity is uneducated too, then go fuck yourself.

If it happens to this old bastard if one of your relatives, grandpa or whatsoever.

I have been feeling so so down for few days, since I got the x-ray check up on my leg.

Last Saturday, I went to Hospital Pantai Mutiara for my leg check up.

The doctor examined my leg, my scar, and done x-ray on my leg.

The x-ray came out, and submitted to the doctor.

When I thought that the doctor was about to say the same thing as General Hospital's doctors said, the doctor surprised me.

I got a shocked for few seconds, and I became speechless.

The doctor's sentences are simple.

"You cannot squad down like a normal person, permanently"

"Certain limited movements on your leg that the screws caused, it will be permanent"

"The screws wont be taking out, unless you're gonna change your whole bone to a metal one."

"Those screws will be in your leg for the rest of your life, and you are gonna suffer pain when you are old"

===========================================

Simple sentences that hurt deeply into my feeling.

Which destroy all my hopes and dreams, causing me troubles for the rest of my life.

All these while, all the information from GH's doctors are wrong!!!

They never look into my x-rays, they just briefly read about my medical reports and when i asked questions, they are just answering me based on their stupid knowledge!!!

They didn't know that those screws are screwed into my hip, not femur!

All these while, I've been positive thinking.

I told myself not to give up, I told myself to be strong.

I don't need anybody to support me, i can walk by myself.

I must not make anyone worry about me.

I told myself, the screws will be taking out in the future, and someday, I will walk like a normal person again, as how I walk last time.

I told myself, don't force myself too hard, I will be active in sports again in the future, but not now.

All these while, my family and friends are supporting me.

I know they care about me, so I never tell them when my leg is extremely pain.

I don't wanna make anyone worry about me, and also not to gain sympathy.

I've been telling myself that one day, I will be fine.

I've been giving myself all the hopes that I will be fine in the future, my leg will fully recover.

I'm afraid.

Afraid of people don't wanna hang out with me anymore if they think that I cannot join for certain activities.

Afraid of people think that I am a burden to them.

Afraid of no one cares about me.

Afraid of being left behind.

Then, i stood up again.

Even though i can ease the pain for every step i take, I will not complain.

I must never show the weaker side about myself.
I will never let anyone worry about me, I don't wanna be a burden to anyone.

I can take the pain, I will not let anyone leave me behind...

At 1st, I don't even want to tell anyone about my current condition, not even my family.

All these while, everyone thought that those screws will be remove from my leg one day.

That's what I told everyone, and what I heard from GH's doctors.

I've been putting the smile on my face, laugh like nobody business, to cover up my emotional feeling.

But now, I will have to bear with the pain, until the rest of my life.

I cannot squad down like a normal human, forever.

I cannot shift my leg up, forever.

The screws will be remain in my hip, for the rest of my life.

Everything is permanent, no more hopes.

I have to go through another types of life.

Which I will feel pain when I wake up, until I go to sleep, and sometimes, sleepless night.

I am a weather forecast, I can tell the whole state of people that when is it going to rain.

But no matter what, I should feel thankful that I can still walk, and I am still alive.

I am only 20 years old, or I should say, 19years and 10months old, and I have to go through all these.

I am a tough guy, I will not give up, I will continue my journey, until the end, the rest of my life...

I am writing this post to express my own feeling.

Not to gain any attention or sympathy from anyone.

Thanks to everyone who care about me all these while.

This movie Transformers 2 have been out for like 2 weeks and i am pretty sure a lot of you have watched it.

Very cool movie, a lot of fighting scenes, and it is also about luv~~~

Let me introduce to you all for some characters in the movie.

Sideswipes

He is cool, very cool, but only during the beginning scenes

Skid & Mudflap

The twins, always fight with each other, not much involve in fighting scenes, and don't know where they gone in the end.

Arcee

The bike, she is cute and kinda fast moving, not much of her fighting scenes too.

There is another bike, no one knows the name, and died in the end.

Ok, let's proceed to the Decepticons, those bad machines

Devastator

A huge machine monster that transformed by around 6 decepticons.

Only appeared during the last fighting scene, fought with Skid & Mudflap,

P.S : He is a male and have 2 HUGE Balls.

Demolisher

The big and huge guy, which looks strong and cool, but die easily.

Optimus Prime killed him.

The Fallen

The Mage, master of Megatron, which hid when Optimus Prime is alive, and appear when he is dead. Only involved in the last fighting scenes.

[Unknown Name]

The tiger creature, who saves the cube and the Decepticons.

A day out with the Shouters!

Me, Lasker, Thily, Wendy, Hugo & Hugo's brother woke up early in the morning and went to this Penang Water Sports Club for some kayak-kayak-ing!

So we've met at MCD Sunrise at around 8.30a.m.

We had our breakfast and we just head there!

We reached, discussed and paid RM24 for 3hours of kayak-ing.

Then we keep all our belonging nicely.

Put on our life jacket, and we just go ahead!

There are all 6 of us, so 2 person will share one canoe.

These are our canoes (Red, Yellow & Orange)

We are ready! (Lasker was the photographer)

We were having fun and it is really fun but not when we reach the "Pulau Tikus" and get down.

It was a near death experiences helping each other to get up and pick back our slippers because we were surrounded by the rocks.

But then, we survived =)

We pulled up the ship when we reached the island.

So i prayed there, and we took a family photo. =)

When we were about to leave that island, my slipper broke.

So i bared my foot until we reach the beach again.

And when we reached the beach, Thily's turn to break her slipper =.="

After that we were so hot and we went to bath, the feeling of the cold water splash on you from your head to your toe is AWESOME! It really cool down you mind, your soul, your body, and maybe your screws too!

Then we went to Midlands Plaza and i bared foot walk around looking for slippers =___="

So me and Thily bought our slippers and we had lunch at Sam Hui Cafe.

It was so fun and exciting!

Perhaps, we can organize it again next time by gathering more people?

I came home, bath again, and i found 9cuts in total on my both hands, and 6 scratches on my legs.

I just had a new haircut on Friday.

Creamy Potato Soup

Here is my own recipe about Creamy Potato Soup.

I have never view any recipe about this soup nor asking others.

I just tasted in don't know which restaurant and so I decided to cook it.

There are some ingredients you need to prepare.

Main ingredients: A bottle of Full Cream Milk, Maggi chicken stock cube (1 cube), 6 potatoes.

Other Ingredients: 3slices of cheese, mushroom, sausages.

*Chop your mushroom and sausages.

1. Boil the potatoes in salted water.

2. When it is really really soft. Then take it out.

3. Mash the potatoes

4. Boil it again

5. Add in all your Other Ingredients

6. Pour the milk (whole bottle) *a little bit of Lea & Perrin Sauce too.

7. Boil it again, and add some sugar, or salt at your preferrences of the taste

8. Serve! Tips: If it is too watery, add in some flour.

Simple isn't it?

It will take you around 3hours to do all these.

And the taste it awesome!

Or another thing that i can say, they invest on you.

You are an investement, and in the future, you will benefit them.

What they said is always right!

So when you are trying to correct their mistakes and telling them that they are in the wrong,

A slap is what they give to you and ask you to be quiet.

When outsiders come to your house, use up things and doesn't even bother to take or put back things of how it was placed, we get the blame on doing so.

Does it mean that guests are always right for doing it?

So when you are trying to correct them and to be polite,

our parents will scold you for correcting these mistakes.

And again, they will say that you disgrace them by doing so and insulting them infront of your guests.

Lastly, to be blamed again and again for all these mistakes

When you are hanging out with your friends and coming back home in the middle of the night and waking up late the next day,

A Nice Restaurant In Prangin Mall

If yes, this post i am going to tell you guys about one good restaurant located at 3rd floor of Prangin Mall, behind yi-koh-jia.

There are 2 shops just beside each other.
It is QQ-stop and Taihe Restaurant.
Remember, QQ-stop is serving Taiwan food.
So, go to Restaurant Taihe which is serving Thai food.

This is my 3rd time having meal there, and they never dissapoint me!
They are providing good services, nice food, and also in reasonable price!
But there is a problem, the speed of their service is slow.

I am a student from PTPL Penang, The Main Campus in Pulau Tikus.
For your information:
My college is a carpark limited college,
we do have free parking but it is so limited and small!
So fine, I've face this problem for many times.
Our rules is like that.
We cant avoid from blocking some people's car.
So, we have to leave down our phone number so that people will call you up so that you will shift you car when they wanna go out.

But some inconsiderate people are brainless!
Why i said so?
They will never put leave their phone number.
So what to do?
You will have to tell the front office receptionist.
If they know whose car is that, they will ask the person to shift their car.
But if they don't know, you will have to go and tell the security.
And yes! Today i met this problem!
I went to the guard house, and i saw them eating.
I said nicely: Abang, ada orang block I mia kereta tapi tarak letak phone nombor [Bro, someone is blocking my car without leaving phone number]
Guess what?
This security yelled at me! : he said, TUNGGU LAR! SEDANG MAKAN! [WAIT! I AM EATING]
Hello?!!!!!!!!
I am not blind ok? I can see that you are eating.
I am just saying nicely that someone is blocking my car, I didn't even ask for help yet!
Why the hell are you yelling at me!?

Fine, i went back to front office, sat there and waited for like 15minutes?
Finally, a lady came down and shifted her car. [no name mentioned]

Now this is my advice:
I don't even care who you are!!!
If you are blocking people's car then please leave your phone numbers!
It is all your fault and please do not repeat such a action like this!
You might just wasted others' time and what if it is a urgent matter?
Be considerate and think of what if you are the one who block by others?!

Fish spa is available in Penang for quite some time but I have never try,
So yesterday when I went to CTY with my family.
Some of us who have never try and wish to know how does it feel.
So we paid for that.
I am a student in between age of 16 to 25years old.
So i got to pay RM15 for 30minutes.
My cousin is student in between age of 7 to 15years old.
She got to pay RM12 only.
My nephew is under 7 years old, so he got it for free!
So I had my very first fish spa!

It was so itchy until everyone of us cannot take it and our face changed!

Hope that the fish wont die, lol!

Xmas is another 2 days!
So our college had a party just now.
Let's see!

There also 2nd round and 3rd round.
They have to fold the newspaper to become smaller pieces and continue.

The 2nd games is too aggressive to until i cant take any pictures.

I took part in the 3rd game and it is about guessing words.
We have 2 minutes to guess as many words as we can.
2 person will have to go infront and draw on the whiteboard.
The rest of the people will have to guess what are they drawing.
Me & Charles are drawing while the rest are guessing.
1st question is easy. It is just " Day Dream In The Class"
So we drew a "human" and with some box on the head.
We got a lot of answers. "think out of the box" blah blah blah....
But at the end Haz got it right!
After that we get the 2nd question.
Guess what? It was "ANGELINA JOLIE IS FILMING"
OMG! what am i supposed to do?
But all thanks to Alton Mark who posed as Angelina Jolie during the bloggers gathering.
I did the same pose =___="
Ralph, Sherlyn & Xue Liang knew what i mean.
Then Charles drew film, they finally got it right.
THe 3rd question is about " The Sky Is Blue"
But when they are guessing, times up!
We got 2 question right.
Congratulations to group Apple! They won the games.

After that was the time for all the students to enjoy some meals.
Overall it was fun and interesting.
Perhaps, maybe we could organize another one before Chinese New Year?

Last Thursday i went to this Mamak Kapitan after my class around 8something.
Then there was a group of people came in with digi t-shirts.
Then one of them approached to us.

She: Are you a DIGI user?
Me: Yes, i am.
She: That's good, now we are going to sponsor you foods! Digi is doing promotion to show the appreciation towards Digi users. We will pay for your foods. We will pay for RM10 per digi user.
Me: Really? That's will be great! Thanks!

4 of us went there and 3 of us are Digi users.
So we filled in a form and then she paid for us!
Our total bill is RM34.60
Digi is sponsoring RM10 per person.
Means we are only paying RM4.60 for a lot of foods and ended up with a smile!

G-Hotel Buffet Lunch

Yesterday i went to G-Hotel besides Gurney Plaza for my lunch.

We were having buffet lunch at only RM36++ per person.

There was a lot of choices and different cultural foods.

It was kinda nice and reasonable.

World AIDS Day

Alright, so it is 1st of December.
Today, reminding us of the HIV disease a.k.a AIDS.

AIDS[Acquired immune deficiency syndrome] is a set of symptoms and infections resulting from the damage to the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This condition progressively reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and leaves individuals susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors. HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, and breast milk. This transmission can involve anal, vaginal or oral sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding, or other exposure to one of the above bodily fluids. From Wikipedia.

People who got this disease, their immune system will get weak.
From the report, there are 33.2 million people lived with this disease. HIV killed 2.2million people so far. Including 330,ooo children.
People, there are so many victims. Some of them even commit suicide when they know that they got this disease.
They feel depressed, they are scare.
They are afraid of what people think about them, they don't wish people to discriminate them.
No one wish to get this disease. They are victims.
What would you think if you are one of them?

For all the people out there:
Please don't discriminate people who got AIDS. They are human as well, just like us. How could you blame them and treat them like monster? How if they are you family? How would they feel? We should treat them as normal, or even better than anyone else.
AIDS got no cure. Those people who infected can only wait for their turn to die.
Why don't we cheer them up in that period and make them feel happier and better before they leave us?
Appreciate everyone around us, appreciate ourselves.
